Health
Objectives
Establish healthcare facilities in a hierarchical and well-adapted manner to provide quality and specialized care (health centers, university hospital centers, specialized centers, etc.).
The university hospital center is intended to deliver high-quality care to both the city’s residents and those from the surrounding region, facilitated by the development of urban transportation networks.
Definition and Implementation
Health Center
It is considered the basic unit of the country’s healthcare system. It serves as an essential local healthcare facility, particularly for providing health coverage to the population.
Polyclinic
It serves as a relay and filtering structure through the specialized consultations it provides between the hospital sector and health centers. It functions as a technical and administrative hub, enabling the coordination and monitoring of healthcare activities across a given territorial unit.
Urban Maternity
A specialized facility for the care and medical monitoring of mothers and children.
Public General Hospital
A hospital is a facility designed to manage serious and complex pathologies and traumas that cannot be treated in a health center, polyclinic, or a doctor’s office. It provides general care with a minimum of four specialties: internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, and gynecology-obstetrics.
University Hospital Center
A large university hospital center comprising the hospital, specialized hospital center, faculties of medicine and pharmacy, and the rehabilitation facility.
The aim is to create a medical ‘cluster’ bringing together the faculties of medicine and pharmacy, hospital structures, research centers, and companies producing medical equipment and devices.
