The Public Institution of the New City of Boughezoul

is a public industrial and commercial establishment (EPIC) Created by Executive Decree No. 304-06 of September 10, 2006 [Download], Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, the headquarters of the Institution is located within the perimeter of the New City of Boughezoul, in the Wilaya of Médéa. The Institution is responsible for the development and planning of the New City, and it carries out all commercial operations and marketing activities.

Missions Of

The Public Institution of the New City of Boughezoul

— Acquire and develop built or unbuilt properties, or any land plots necessary for the development of the new city.
— Carry out any commercial, movable, immovable, and financial operation related to its purpose and likely to promote its development
— Carry out land management operations in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations in force, notably the provisions of Law No. 02-08 of May 8, 2002, cited above, and its Articles 11, 12, and 15.
— Benefit from the right of pre-emption instituted by the provisions of the laws and regulations in force, notably Article 15 of Law No. 02-08 of May 8, 2002, cited above.
— Assign land designated for housing or for artisanal and commercial activities, in accordance with the rules established in a deed of easements adopted by order of the Minister responsible for territorial planning.
— Gather, process, preserve, and distribute data, information, and documentation of statistical, scientific, technical, and economic nature related to its purpose, and maintain records and studies in compliance with current laws and regulations.
— Public service obligations assigned by the State or local authorities to the institution are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the related terms of reference, annexed to this decree.
— The institution is responsible for receiving, according to standards and best practices, infrastructures, equipment, development projects, and their dependencies when ready for operation, and for transferring them to the institutions responsible for their management in accordance with applicable conditions and procedures.
